Below we’ve provided some info on how we work, serverless technology, BPMN 2.0, and workflow automation.
What is serverless?
Serverless computing is a cloud computing, and dynamically manages the allocation of machine resources. Pricing is based on the actual amount of resources consumed by an application, rather than on pre-purchased units of capacity. It can be a form of utility computing.
What is BPMN 2.0?
Business Process Model and Notation (BPMN) is a graphical representation for specifying business processes in a business process model.
What is a workflow engine?
A workflow engine is a software application that manages business processes. It is a key component in workflow technology and typically makes use of a database server.
What cloud providers will be supported?
We are planning to start with AWS. We are going to support MS Azure and Google Cloud in the future too.
Existing BPM solutions can also connect and use the client's cloud services. What is the difference between Adminix and its competitors?
A client still has to pay for a BPM solution. The BPM solution can use the cloud's resources via API, but it has API and security limitations. Adminix uses the provider's API only to setup cloud resources. All workflows are running inside the cloud, which is more secure and flexible. Also, Adminix helps to setup serverless infrastructure without engaging DevOps specialists.
Why do you have multiple workflow design methods?
There are many different business process modeling methods. One of the most popular is BPMN 2.0. BPMN 2.0 has a solid specification, but it's hard to learn, and business people mostly use it. Every Adminix competitor mainly uses only one specification method. There is no universal specification that is easy to use by a business and IT person. That's why we want our clients to choose the most suitable option for them to save their time on learning new BPM specifications.
